The Showdown
This Event is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society. KCBS representatives will be present. Judging starts at noon on Saturday, March 22, 2025, using the blind judging technique. The contest consists of four categories (chicken, pork ribs, pork, and beef brisket). All four categories are required for Grand Champion prizes. Only one entry per team per category is allowed. The Showdown prize purse is over $20,000!
Rules & Regulations
The Torry Island BBQ Showdown competiton will be governed by the competition rules of the Kansas City Barbeque Society, additional rules and regulations found in the Torry Island BBQ Festival Team Information Packet, Torry Island BBQ Festival Pro Division Packet, and Torry Island Festival Backyard Division Packet.
